Caregiver Screening Process
Application Review
Each candidate completes a detailed application. I assess experience, education, passion for working with children, legal history, and communication skills.
Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are invited for a face-to-face or video interview where we discuss their childcare approach, past experience, and values.
Reference Checks
I require at least two verified childcare-related references. I personally speak with these references to ensure credibility and consistent quality.
Background Verification
For safety and peace of mind, selected candidates undergo identity checks and must provide a clean police record from local authorities.
Communication Assessment
Strong written and verbal communication is essential in caregiving. I evaluate how well candidates interact, follow instructions, and express themselves.
Personal Evaluation
Beyond qualifications, I take the time to understand each caregiver’s personality to ensure a good fit for the families we serve.
Caregiver Requirements
To ensure the highest quality of care, I look for the following qualities in anyone I work with or recommend
- At least 2 strong references from recent childcare-related positions
- Excellent communication skills , both verbal and written
- Physically and mentally fit , with no serious medical conditions
- Free from bad habits such as smoking or substance use
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on childcare experience
- Educational background in early childhood development or related field is a plus
- Commitment of at least 6 months for consistent and stable care
- Creativity and problem-solving skills to engage children meaningfully
